Suggest Treatment For Fluid Filled Blisters On The Toes

Had a right toenail infection treated in my youth that was not suppose to grow back, but did. As it grew, at a perfect right angle to the rest of the toenail and down into the inside of my right toe, causing me to dig it out every few months. Thursday with out any infection I had a podiatrist take it out. Doing all as required such as soaking, and bandages. Toe has a huge fluid filled blisters on each side of toe and seems to also be on bottom side, but surgical area looks clean with some blood. Top nail looks kinda purple, and toe is swollen and red. Wondering if this is normal or should see if urgent care is open tomorrow. Although I am elevating foot toe feels really tight and swollen

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to fungal infection.

I suggest using antifungal cream for local application.

I also recommend taking Fluconazole.

I suggest to maintain good hygiene of the legs, wash and dry them properly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
