Suggest Treatment For Foveal Hypoplasia With Optical Albinism
My fifteen year old son has been diagnosed with foveal hypoplasia with optical albanism (sorry for any mis-spellings). He failed the vision portion of his drivers permit yesterday. He is devastated. We (I) knew this may be an issue for him, but prayed that somehow his eyes would be at least good enough for him to pass. Is there any corrective measures that I should research. Please help me. Sincerely, Marcia
Foveal hypoplasia and ocular albinism does not have any definitive curative treatment. However he can use low visual aids which may help to improve vision. Hence I advice you to get consultation with a ophthalmologist for prescription of appropriate low visual aids.
Thank you
