Suggest Treatment For Frequent Spontaneous Pneumothorax Attacks
Hi my 18 yr old daughter had her first spontaneous pneumothorax last November 2014 and had to have 100 percent oxygen for a day. She then had a very tiny one 4 weeks ago on 12th July 15 with no treatment. We then ended up in hospital last weekend with the same pain but they couldn t see anything on the x ray but they said to treat it as she has one, so no flying for 6 weeks etc and to come back for an X-ray in 6 weeks time. Anyway today she decided to go to a theme park and there was no way I could talk her out of it, she s very stubborn and the doctors told her to just get on with her life. I am a very concerned mother could this be really dangerous for her?.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if this is the case of pneumothorax then all care need to be taken as advised give by medical team or physician breaking advise could be danger and risky too, hope this information may helps, take care and have a nice day.
