Suggest Treatment For Fungal Infections In Scalp

Hello, I am 28 years old and have been suffering from a Fungal infection in the scalp for a long time now, due to which I have started experienced hair fall. My once dense scalp is getting thinner due to which i would like to consult a good dermatologist who would suggest a good remedy. I have tried all the anti-fungal shampoos which have provided only temporary relief.

Hi,
In your case hair fall could be due to severe dandruff or seborrheic dermatitis. It could also be due to SD along with androgenetic alopecia or telogen effluvium.
In SD treatment has to be continued for long.
Use a good ketoconazole salicylic acid based shampoo every alternate days. Once response is achieved shift to maintenance of using it once in a week. Use a steroid lotion over scalp twice daily till scalp is clear.
Once dandruff is gone, use minoxidil solution and hair supplement to induce hair growth.
Hope this helped
