Suggest Treatment For Gastric Problem With Headaches
Hi Doctor, I am a female age 28yrs and I think i am suffering from a really bad gastric problem. I suffer from severe headaches if I do a late breakfast or skip food anytime. It results in severe pain in eyeballs and right side of my head. I also feel bloated everytime and suffer from water retention as well. Please help and advice me what to do. Thanks a lot. Swati
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. The symptoms of getting headache, pain in eyeballs and right sided headache on skipping food indicate that the problems may be correlated but it is difficult to explain such phenomenon. Hence I would advise you the following: Get your blood sugar and other blood tests when you get the attack. Get an opinion of a Gastroenterologist for bloating, Ophthalmologist as you have eye pain and a Neurologist as you get headache too. You get to do all these as then only a proper set of investigations and proper diagnosis can be done and all the symptoms be correlated. Obviously you should miss the breakfast and food time as your body clock is all set well. Also not for any other symptoms whether you feel them related or not so that a proper correlation can be helped with as you have atypical symptoms.
