Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been diagnosed with other auto-immune illnesses - Gout, arthritis, IBS and Firbromyalgia - but I ve been noticing a rash of sorts on my face, forearms and lower legs which consists of red spots in a cluster. Should I be asking my doctor about lupus? Right now I m taking Tylonol at night for pain above and on my left hip and left hand and right heel. I m 73 years old.
Lupus has a butterfly-shaped rash across the cheeks and bridge of the nose. So, if you have this type of rash you should consult your doctor about Lupus. Meanwhile, you can continue using painkillers for the pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
