My husband is on Meloxicam for gout in his left foot, he has taken four so far and pain is awful, he has some oxyxcodone from a previous knee injury and was wondering if it would be okay to take one of those with the other medicine he s taking for gout. The pain is severe and the meloxicam is not doing anything for pain.
hi Youmayconsult your doctor again. For goutcolchicine is repeatedly given till pain lessens and allopurinol for further back up to control disease process, pain, inflammation Oxycodone may be taken for severity of pain after consultation and your doctor may consider switching to other pain meds and anti-infammatory. As of now no harm if he takes oxycodone sos best wishes,
