Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries
I can understand your concern. She is 26 years old and she had petit mal seizures (Absence seizures) till age of 14 and then she had grand mal seizures. She developed a seizures that lasted for about 30 minutes and most likely that was Generalised seizure but more details of history is needed to confirm diagnosis.
For treatment of seizures anti-seizure drugs are used. Sodium Valproate, Phenytoin, Carbamazepine etc are commonly used drugs for generalised seizures. It is advisable to continue treatment for at least 3 years post remission of seizures and then drug doses can be tapered gradually. If she is not getting relief with one medicine then adjuvant medicine should be added for relief of resistant seizures. Lamotrigine, Levatiracetam etc can be used for her resistant seizures along with her conventional drugs.
Please visit her doctor and take proper prescription of these drugs.
Hope this helps you. Take care
