Suggest Treatment For Granulated Wound After Drainage Of An Abscess
I had an abcess drained and they made an incision. It has been over 4 weeks since then and I have been going for dressing of the wound to heal. Only afew days back when the packing of the wound seized the nurse noticed that it had over healed. The over granulated wound tends to hurt me when i walk and i dont know what to do. It is red at times then looks white please advise

You have done correct treatment regarding abscess.
Your wound is in healing stage, because granulation tissue is red.
Don't worry about granulation tissue, it suggest your wound is about to heal.
Some itching and pain will be there until wound healed.Just now dressing can be done with normal saline.
If wound healthy suture can also be taken for faster healing.
