Suggest Treatment For Headache, Fatigue And Depression In An Elderly Person

For years I have felt very tired, achy, headaches, no energy or focus and depressed. I am a 60 year old female. I had blood work about four months ago and it was perfect. I am 5 7 and weigh 178 pounds . The doctors I have seen all say it is from depression. I have tried many many different antidepressants and am presently taking 10 mgs of generic Lexapro and 150 mgs of generic Wellbutrin daily. Could the way I m feeling be all related to depression?

hello,welcome to healthcaremagic

yes, your complaints can be due to depression. but there are few other possibilities that u should consider-

most important is ANAEMIA. i am quite sure that anaemia can be a hidden cause for your symptoms.
you should get your complete blood count+ESR+peripheral smear done.

other cause can be chronic infection carier. you might be harbouring infection in your body which relapses at frequent interval which can lead to these symptoms. for eg- typhoid.

third is cancer. since you have had these symptoms for long. and no other sever symptom has appeared, i hope and i expect that its not a cancer.
anyhow if u experience some other symptoms. pls dont neglect and consult a doctor immediately.

medication for depression is good, just keep visiting the psychiatrist.

try taking multivitamins and iron for anaemia.

hope this helps.
thanks.
