Suggest Treatment For Headaches And Pain Behind The Eyes

Hello, I m a 50 year old Caucasian male in good health. However, I ve been experiencing a mild to moderate dull headache over a span of about three days. I ve been overly fatigued with body aches seemingly in different areas each day. My skin on my back torso is sore feeling and moves around in different locations daily. Today my eyes hurt behind the eyeballs whenever I moved them to look side to side. I ve stayed home and rested the last two days with little improvement. Any thoughts as to what I m dealing with?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Do you have any fever associated with it? From your description, it seems physical stress or chronic fatigue of some viral origin.

When all these are excluded it can be fibromyalgia which can be treated by cortisone injection.

Otherwise, drink lots of fluids, take NSAIDS, take rest and you will be fine in a day or two.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ashish Ranjan, General & Family Physician
