Suggest Treatment For Heart Failure
My dad had gone through a open heart surgery in 2002 later he was fine but since last year his blood pressure was abnormal dr Damle suggested to go for a AICD implantation few month after that now again he started to have the same problem , Dr is saying that there is a heart failure he is 64 yrs of age and is diabetic too,please suggest what to do Thanks Yogesh

There are different medications for heart failure; diuretics (for water retention), beta blockers, ACE inhibitors. Your doctor surely will prescribe you appropriate medications. It depends from severity and stage of heart failure. There are also medications for advanced heart failure.
The course of disease and duration depends on stage. In advanced stage of heart failure it will be long. if he has mild heart failure, he will recover soon
