Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am suffering from continuous heavy bleeding for last three months and took ovral l, endofit and after that dronis 30 but still bleeding continued. Now I am taking regestrone 10 mg per day. How many days should I continue? Earlier case of endometriosis and PCOS.
You are suffering from Heavy menstrual bleeding or Menorrhagia. Heavy menstrual bleeding is normal during 1st day of your menstrual bleeding & it should decrease on 2nd day. You could anti-inflammatory medicine such Tranexamic acid or even normal painkiller like ibuprofen for it. However, prolonged heavy flow for more than 2-3 days is abnormal. It can be due to many underlying diseases such as Uterine firbroids, Adenomyosis, Ovarian dysfunction etc. Prolonged bleeding might cause you become anemic. In case of prolonged bleeding, I would have asked you to go through Complete blood count, Lower abdomen ultrasonography .On the basis of these reports, I would have considered your treatment plan. Refer to a gynecologist
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
