Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have heavy bleeding at times with some clotting like a menstrual period I was given a very intensive PAP exam for cancer of the uterus which came back clean I then was a medication medroxypr ac 10mg which helped. The bleeding is back my weight is 389 lbs. and I take the drug warfarin blood thinner
Hello dear I understand your concern It could be due to the side effect of the warfarin, endometriosis, endometrial cancer. I would suggest to undergo endometrial biopsy, reproductive hormone analysis and USG scan to rule out the causes. Warfarin should b take in the low doses under the observation of treating doctor. Progesterone shot and tranexaemic acid will help in reducing the bleeding. Other treatment will depend on the specific cause. Hope this may help you
