Suggest Treatment For Heavy Vaginal Spotting During Pregnancy
I m 6 weeks and I just started heavy spotting, it switches Between bright red and dark brown I ve been to the doctor about 4 times in the past week and a half and my hcg levels have not been doubling but are rising, and they said my bleeding doesn t indicate miscarriage and they have seen the heartbeat, I ve had a miscarriage before and have been cramping, I ve been bleeding the last week and it doesn t seem like it s going to let up
Any bleeding even in the form of spotting or altered blood from vagina during early pregnancy is termed as threatened abortion unless proved otherwise. It is likely that following oral stimulation and uterine contraction during orgasm there may have been some placental separation which caused the bleeding.
It is important that you should get a ultrasound pelvis especially a transvaginal ultrasound to rule out any placental separation and retroplacental clot formation and an ongoing bleed and also to check foetal well being. If the foetal heart rate is normal then you would be advised to be on complete bed rest till bleeding stops and should be started on progesterone support till next 4 weeks. Please get the ultrasound done.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
