hi,im51 yrs female.im suffering from hemorrhoids from 20yrs.iv met doctor recently as it started bleeding on exertion and extra physical activity.doctor provided me with sclerotherapy stating that my grade is 2.how should i proceed further for management
Hello, 1) So have you received sclerotherapy for hemorrhoid or you plan to receive? 2) Episodes of bleeding with grade-2 hemorrhoid is very rare. Then you might have anal fissure along with hemorrhoid which might be source for bleeding during straining 3) In case of anal fissure, you should avoid to receive sclerotherapy for hemorrhoids as source of bleeding is fissure but not hemorrhoids. 4) Fissure can never be cured with medical treatment but it reduce symptoms and episodes of bleeding without need for any surgery or intervention. 5) Sclerotherapy or surgery are reserved for cases of large hemorrhoids or bleeding hemorrhoids 6) Constipation is aggravating factor for both of these condition and therefore by any means you should consider to avoid constipation
