, I had two hernias taking care of may 17th in the groan area. I was allowed to go back to work, no restrictions. I tried driving hyster and my lower stomach started hurting real bad. I took a couple days off and my boss had my on A job last week lifting all night now my stomach has been hurting bad eversince,plus my right testicale is hurting. I seen my family doctor today. He pushed on my stomach and let go and asked my if it hurt.it did. He told me to see my surgeon but he is away for a couple weeks. What could be wrong? Should I see if another doctor is filling in for mine and see him.my family doc did not say what he thinks it is,so I do not know weather to wiat to see my surgeon on the 2nd or go to his replacement if it is serious,
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Based on the description you have given, it appears that you are having hernia, most probably looks like direct hernia. It needs to be assessed clinically and you may need to undergo ultrasound scan if necessary. If it is hernia, it cannot be managed conservatively as it might land up in dreadful complications like inspissated hernia and intestinal obstruction. Hence, it needs to be operated surgically.
