Suggest Treatment For High Fever And Shivering
hi doctor.. my husband is getting fever with shivering around 102degrees every 40-48hours-monday morning, tuesday night, thursday afternoon, saturday morning...here the doctor said it would be viral fever or seasonal flu. Could be signs of malaria as the fever is accompanied by shivering.. also everytime the temperature is around the same slightly above or below 102degrees. Pls advise

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have high fever and shivering since 2-3 days which is something you should be worried about about. Possible causes for this fever are viral infection, yes it could be due to malaria and urinary tract infection as well. I would suggest you to visit general physician once and get CBC, ESR , chest x ray and sputum examination and apart from that go for complete urine culture examination done. Till then take antiviral such as Acyclovir with Ibuprofen and anti-inflammatory drug. It could be due to co-infection with bacteria as well so take antibiotic such as Levofloxacin as well. Drink plenty of liquids to maintain hydration level in body. Avoid intake of any outside food.
