Suggest Treatment For High Pus Cell Count In Urine

Hello My mother who is 79 years old is having pus cells 50 to 60 in her urine. A course of antibiotics after doing a urine culture did not help and the pus count has actually increased after treatment. She has had repeated urine infections particularly after removal of uterus. What are her options? Please advise Regards Mac

Oncologist 's  Response
Hello dear. She has repeated infection. She requires ultrasonography or CT scan evaluation of urinary system to look for any abnormality. Also she requires urine culture for bacteria as well as mycobacterium growth as it may also be the cause.
Thanks
take care
