Hi Doc! I had my check up last April 2016 and the Doctor in the Philippines said my triglycerides is high. It is 211 and my blood sugar is in normal range but may be higher in the future if I will not take care. Our family has history of high blood pressure
Hello dear Understand your concern If you have done test after 10-12 hour of fasting then your triglyceride is toward the higher side. I give following advice to reduce your triglyceride level: Avoid fast food, reducing saturated fats like butter and animal fats. Take fresh fruits and green vegetable Exercise like walking running and yoga daily in the morning for 45-60 minutes. Repeat the test after 3-4 months. If still it will come high, drugs like niacin, statin should be started to reduce triglyceride level. Hope this may help you
