Otolaryngologist / ENT Specialist, Dr. Omair's Response
Hello,
Sometimes there is a slightly early onset of age related hearing loss. In some individuals, it may start as early as 45 years and it can easily be ruled out by performing physical examination and pure tone audiometry test. Before making any assumptions, I will recommend you to get your ear examined and get the pure tone Audiometry done so that diagnosis can be established followed by treatment options. Your symptoms point towards the age related hearing loss and would need hearing assessment followed by discussing management options like hearing aid.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Omair Choudhry, Otolaryngologist / ENT Specialist
