Suggest Treatment For Incisional Hernia

Hello, I have a question. I have, well what my doctor said I have is an incisional hernia. It s not a big boldge, but there s a little one there. He told me not to worry about it be user its small but sometimes at work, it get irritated. I work in a warehouse. Should I have surgery to repair it rite away or should I wait till the surgery is needed?

An incisional hernia is a defect of the fascia of the abdominal wall following any incision. It is seen most commonly after a surgical incision. It can happen months or even years after surgery.
It needs to be treated by surgical repair. The weakened tissue of the abdominal wall is re-incised and a repair is reinforced using a prosthetic mesh. Laparoscopic incisional hernia repair is a new method of surgery for this condition.
If not repaired, it can land up in complications.
