Suggest Treatment For Infected Abscesses

I had an abscess and it grew strap. We took out a 2 2/1 inch proline stitch from an inter abdominal meat. The two spots tspthat were oozing are still oozing 3 weeks later. We are looking into the original,op note to see if the other stitches are being reactive. ( I m a PA I understand technical lingo)mew have done two courses of Levoquin which send my Coumadin through the the roof. Stopping the Coumadin to do the surgery is what we are being conservative about, plus I ve had a 6 vessels cabg. My surgeon want me to do to PCP to see if it s shingles but I know it is not. What should I do?

Hi,

Yes, go with PCR and best is give your pus sample for antibiotics susceptibility test, this will tell exactly what to do.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
