Hi, If your doctor suspects an infection that could have its origin from the abortion you had four years ago, then it is chronic. The pain you have is perhaps related to an inflammation in the pelvis. What you need is an appropriate pelvic antibiotic after cervix and vagina smears and a pap smear.
