Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have an infection in my eyebrow area, I am guessing it is an ingrown hair, the infection has involved my eyelid and the lump is about the size of a large pea. Hot packs? Antibiotics? I am 6ft 2 ", 280 lbs, adult onset diabetes. Had chest boil approx. 3 months ago.
The use of hot packs and also topical antibiotics would help. Topical antibiotics should be available over the counter. The hot packs should be applied 2 to 3 times daily for 10 to 15 minutes.
If the use of the above is not sufficient for resolution then oral antibiotics may be needed.
I hope this helps
