i have problem of irregular menstruation . today had u/s my report says a/v enlarged in size uterus.also has large solid looking hypochoic area seen at the rt lateral wall of uterus measuring 11.0,7.9.6.5 cms it shows increased internal vascularity on CDI plz doctor what does it means . is it some malignancy?
According to your ultrasound report, possibly you may be having a big size fibroid at the right lateral wall of the uterus. You may need surgery for this. Usually fibroids will be benign in nature and possibility of turning into malignant is less.
But the exact nature of the mass can only be judged after the histopathologic examination of the mass after the surgery. MRI and tumor markers light CA 125, CA 19-9 can you help to some extent in finding the nature of the lesion pre-operatively. So, please discuss these things with your gynecologist can proceed accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
