I have a rshy situation on inner thigh, seems like a little discharge of urine (maybe) itchy, bumpy, after shower seems redder, wearing pants etc seems to inflame it. 3 or 4 weeks now won t go away. Have been for months a low everything diet to lower cholesterol, don;t know if any connection ,so have reduced a lot of stuff to see if my problem is allergy ,with no avail..drink lots of h2O,excercise,not overweight,no bike ride etc....wtf

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The rash could be allergic or fungal. I would recommend an antihistamine containing ointment like Pheniramine Maleate along with an antifungal ointment like Miconazole. Both the ointments to be mixed thoroughly in equal proportions and applied locally over the area for at least a week. Avoid rubbing of area with underpants or other clothing. Also, you can use antifungal powder like Clotrimazole after the rash disappears to avoid recurrence.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
