Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have joint pain. As for my ankles, I feel like I need to crack them like how people crack their knuckles. Sometimes when I try to crack them, or even move my ankle too much, it feels like the bones in my feet are twisting around each other. It causes extreme pain, but after about a minute or so, the pain goes away and it feels like it never even happened. I'm not really sure what this is, and I'm only 15 years old, so it's likely that arthritis isn't the answer.
Hello As you mentioned that there is pain in ankle joints and pain is excruciating so the reason of this pain may be. 1 Rheumatoid arthritis , consult an orthopedic surgeon and get his opinion as complete history of illness and physical examination play an important role . 2 The 2nd reason may be osteoarthritis so get in X ray of effected joints and consult an orthopedic surgeon for further evaluation. The reason of osteoarthritis may be many . 3 Deficiency of calcium is one of the most important reason so get in blood examination for calcium . As you didn't mention complete history as this pain is localized to only ankle joints so very difficult to assess the reason . In this condition only way is to consult an orthopedic surgeon and get his opinion. Good luck
