Suggest Treatment For Kidney Stones, Edema In Legs And Right Flank Pain
I had right lirhotripsy on 9/11 for a 2.2x1.6cm stone. I still have 1.4x1.2cm stone and another stone all in the right kidney. I had a stent placed but it was pulled since it was curled in my bladder. I am having bilateral pedal edema of at least 2+. The edema extends into my ankles and legs with 1-2+ edema. Is this normal? I of course still have right flank pain which I know is normal with the size of the stones that are still there. I have had several lirhotripsy in the past and not had this problem.
hi, the symptoms you are experiencing suggests that you might be having edema resulting due to inadequate fluid excretion from your kidney ,it can be due to right heart failure also or due to block in the ureteric portion of your kidney .Do you get puffiness of the face in early mornings then it can be due to kidney disease or if only edema is present it may be due to inadequate cardiac function ,try to get evaluated by a cardiologist for adequate cardiac function .For the renal stones you might require lithotripsy if the stone crosses the renal portion to enter the ureter or just diuresis or medication dissolving the stone will suffice.hope i solved your queiry.
