Suggest Treatment For Leg Hematoma Along With Tingling And Burning Sensation

The hematoma on y leg is now 6 weeks old. It is the size of a 25cent coin. There is still considerable tingling and soreness. Recently there has been an intense burning requiring an ice pack to cool the area down. Should I return to doctor for additional treatment?

Hello,

I think the hematoma that you had must have been close to a nerve. It might be compressing on the nerve. This may be resulting in the mentioned symptoms.

I would suggest testing a Nerve Conduction Study after visiting a neurologist (for examination).

And yes, you will need treatment for this- medicines like gabapentin and pregabalin may be able to afford some relief to you.

I have tried to make it as simple as possible. Feel free to contact me if you have a doubt or need clarification on any point.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saumya Mittal
