my daughter has flu type symptoms and has pain in her legs, particularly in the back of her knee when weight bearing. she has been ill for 3 days and will not walk. she is drinking and eating a little and i am giving her panadol and ibuprofen. is there anything else i sjoild do for her?

Her symptoms shows that she is experiencing muscular aches, that are caused by a virus.
To determine the exact cause a physical examination of the knee is necessary.

In these cases the following test are necessary, too:
1. Rapid strep test to rule out acute rheumatic fever.
2. Complete blood count.
3. Fibrinogen test.
4. Anti-streptolysin O test.
5. Urine test.
