Suggest Treatment For Loose Motions In Old Lady With Filariasis
hi My grand mother is 63 years old... she has filariasis frm the age of 30... from yeaterday she has loose motion , vomiting nd fever... since she s unable to walk cant take her to doctor ... local medicines didn wrk ... plz suggest wt has to be don v r helpless

welcome to hcm short answer : give her plenty of fluids and electrolytes detailed answer: she might be needing injections as she has vomiting and loose stools adequate hydration is the first thing to do next thing give her some antibiotics like metronidazole and give her antipyretics like paracetamol. if she continues to have loose stools she might need iv fluids for correction of her dehydrating status hope this explains with regards Dr.Amarnath
