Suggest Treatment For Lower Back Pain Radiating Down Leg Intermittently
I have lower back pain for week and half...seen a chiro...yesterday went to Emerge...they found gallstone but didn t say it could be cause...the pain is just above tail bone/centre...then sometime to the right like almost a knot...when I apply pressure it subsides ...but not for long...then pain down my leg off and on.....

Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to sciatica. This come due to herniation f lumbar intervertebral disc. A physical examination by orthopedician will be helpful to rule out this. X ray and MRI might be required to confirm this. Gall stones could be an just an incidental finding. Gall stone pain is on upper right chest radiating to upper back. Sciatica can be managed by muscle relaxants like tizanidine , NSAIDs like ibuprofen and neurotropic drugs. Physiotherapy along with back muscle strengthening exercises will be helpful. You can also use lumbar supporting belt for wearing. Avoid lifting heavy weights. Hope this may help you.
