Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...Constant pain in left ovary.
About 10 months ago I started noticing a throbbing pain in the area of my left ovary. It persisted until I eventually went to see a doctor. I was told that I most likely had an ovarian cyst and it would dissolve by itself. The pain did in fact cease about 2 weeks later after one especially heavy period. Then it started all over again. The pain would come and go. During this past year I have thought that maybe it was just recurring cysts, so I was not terribly worried. Also, I have always had irregular periods- since my first. Sometimes going 2 months without one. But for the past few months now the pain in my left ovary has been pretty regular- and now, for about 2 weeks, it has been constant. I can feel the pain when I am walking now and it has affected the way I walk at times. It is mostly just a throbbing pain. I have also been experiencing lower back pain off and on for about 2 weeks. I have gained a significant amount of weight over the past 6 years- (about 75lbs). I have started a diet and exercise regimine, and I noticed today while I was on the treadmill that it did not hurt (while walking). But the pain came back. Also, I should be getting my period within the next week and a half. Could someone please help me? I don't know what's going on, and I'm so scared it could be something really bad.
