Suggest Treatment For Lumbar Disc Protrusion

I have a recent dx of a lumbar disc protrusion (L3-L4) with an associated annular fissure that indents the ventral thecal sac and produces canal stenosis (AP canal dia. 7mm). This is pretty significant isn t it? And should be treated as something of importance? I also experience numbness, tingling and intermittent pain down my right leg/foot/toes.

Hello

MRI findings indicate degenerative changes in lumbar spine.

At L3-4 level,there is inter-vertebral disc herniation which is indenting thecal sac and it is causing central spinal canal stenosis.
Your neurological symptoms may be related to disc prolapse.

Majority of degenerative disc disease patients are benefited by conservative treatment in the form of physiotherapy,analgesics and muscle relaxants.
Though central spinal canal stenosis is significant,I suggest for conservative management first.

Surgery should be the last option.
Now a days,even surgery is done by minimum invasion like endoscopic disectomy.
Other treatment modalities may be ozone ablation etc.

Treatment can be planned after consultation with neurosurgeon.
