You are suggested to get clinically examined by a general practitioner / orthopedist. If required you will be referred to a neurologist. Lumbar spondylitis is given symptomatic treatment with NSAIDs, physical therapy, medications & shots. Surgery is only recommended when the body's response to treatment given is poor.
Quit smoking, alcohol, drugs or addictions if any. Manage stress both emotional and physical. Your treating doctor can give you corticosteroid shots to help reduce the inflammation and pain that is causing discomfort. Always maintain correct posture while sitting, standing, walking or sleeping. Take a home made, balanced diet. Surgery may be recommended if required.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
