Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi! My wife has had several symptoms that are alarming. She has a lump on one of her breasts which she has an appointment for. She doesn t like Dr. appointments very well so we thought I could share what is happening here. Her symptoms include 1. anxiety 2. headaches 3. head feels like lightning then has seizure 4. extreme sensitivities to the senses 5. sharp and achy chest pain sometimes burning 6. upset stomach worse after eating eggs, pasta 7. abdominal pain worse since C section 02/28/14. 8. Irregular periods with spotty bleeding in between. 9. Hurts during sex 10. Fatigue 11. hard to wake up
The lump on the breast will not give all these symptoms. What is likely happening is that your wife has anxiety that is causing a number of other symptoms, possibly even causing some depression.
In my practice, I would assess the breast lump by ultrasound if she is below 40 years or mammography if she is above 40 years. Then give the results of the diagnosis and if the anxiety worsens, I would refer to a counselor for anxiety management.
All the best.
