I continuously get pains and feel lots of pressure around my right maxillary sinus. I get them about once every 2-3 months and only only the right side of my face. I used to think it was maxillary sinusitis, but I do not have yellow/green mucus nor do I have problems breathing. What else could possibly cause this re-occurring pain and minor swelling around the maxillary sinuses?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain pain and pressure over the right side of face along with mild swelling seems to be due to inflammation in the lining of the sinus secondary to infection causing the following symptoms.. In case if there is mild infection you might not experience breathing difficulty or mucous discharge.. I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and he can also advise you to get PNS View x ray done or MRI of sinuses to confirm the cause.. He can advise you to take antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen, steam inhalations, steroid nasal sprays and saline nasal irrigation.. In case if there is any polyp formation in the sinuses surgical removal has to be done..
Hope this information helps..
