Suggest Treatment For Metatarsal Fracture

I fractured my foot about 6 years ago. I recently had x-rays and at ct scan because i'm getting pain from the fracture sight. the scans came up clean, just the normal fragments of bone found from the fracture. it's a metatarsal fracture, in the 3rd bone. my doctor said to get a metatarsal arch support to help stop the pain occurring across the top of my foot. however, the supports do not help. i get constant pain when i walk, it hurts to touch, and hurts more in cold weather. I'm wondering what I can do to help cease this pain?
