MY SISTER LIVES IN DC WENT TO AN INTERNIST WHO SAID SHE MIGHT HAVEMILD SHINGLES SENDING HER TO A DERMATOLOGIST TOMORROW. SHE ONLY HAS IT IN ONE AREA. WHAT IS THE TREATMENT? WOULD A SHOT HELPAT THIS POINT? SHE FELT COLD TODAY TOO. IS IT CONTAGIOUS? SHE NOW WOULD HAVE SYMPTOMS FOR A WEEK? IT COULD BE AN INSECT BITE? OR RASH? SHE SAID IT WAS RAISED

It is not possible to answer a lot of questions theoretically without seeing the patient closely. I suggest her to see an infectious specialist to get the exact treatment and to get the answers.
