Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
what is the best option of treatment for a 56 yrs old non diabetic, not hypertensive patient with stable angina, stress test positive, moderate mitral regurgitation? He was stented at rt.coronary and circumflex 15 yrs back for CAD.now ct angio shows moderate narrowing of LAD and blockages proximal and distal sides of previous stents.
Dear Sir/Madam Thanks for your query to us. Moderate mitral regurgitation needs no treatment for its own, however any correctable cause for same should be dealt with. Moderate mitral regurgitation do not produces any symptoms. If the blockage in current CT angiogram are critical and patient is symptomatic for them, next step should be a conventional angiogram. Do discuss with your cardiologist. Sincerely Sukhvinder
