Suggest Treatment For Muscle Weakness And Blurred Vision While On Dexamethasone
Caregiver for Stage IV metasiis to bone breast cancer. Has taken Dexamethasone for two weeks. Body covered in bruises. Swollen ankle. Told it was the steroid. How long for symptoms to subside? Symptoms are:Muscle weakness, blurry vision, easy bruising, swollen feet.
Muscle weakness, blurry vision, swollen feet are all side effects of Dexamethasone, a corticosteroids. Commonly the side effects subside in 48-72 hours but sometimes it may take a couple of days.
Keep the foot elevated on a stool while sitting or on a pillow while on bed. Take nutritious home made food, veggies & berries. Include protein in your diet. Stay well hydrated, take adequate sleep. Avoid stress & anxiety.
