Suggest Treatment For Muscle Weakness And Dizziness

Hi,
I am a 26 year old male student living in BC, Canada. I am healthy and fit. Just 2 weeks ago I did grouse grind in 40 minutes. Keep in mind that the record is 25 minutes so this was really impressive. Over the past 2 months I have had neurological symptoms. At first, I just had weird feelings in my hand fingers. I went to the health center at school and the doctor checked my eye reflex, leg reflex and general muscle weakness test and it was fine. Now the feeling is on my legs as well. I feel tired as if I have just worked out, but I haven't. Sometimes my left and sometimes my right hand feels like it's been in snow and I can't move it, but the fact is I can when I try. My fingers are slightly shaking. I have twitching in my muscles but they last only about 10-20 seconds. I have had a pain in my Neck and shoulder for 3 days. It has gotten slightly better. I feel really anxious about this. I feel fatigue on my leg. All my blood work are ok. Except my GGT is at 49, which is a borderline. My thyroid and everything was also fine. When I do weights, I can lift the same weights 5 pounds give or take. So there is no testable weakness. It's just feels weak.

A week ago, I slept for 2 hours and I woke up I could not move my toes. I try to stand on my leg but it failed me and I couldn't get up. after about 10-20 seconds I was able to get up on it. But I felt weak and the anxiety caused me to go to emergency room. The ER doctor checked my neuro symptoms and they were ok. I did some blood work there as well and my Creatinine was slightly high and doctor said it was probably a sign of dehydration. Other than that, everything else is fine. I haven't had a good sleep for 2 weeks now (caused most probably by anxiety of this). I get a bit of dizziness probably due to lack of sleep. Here in Canada, the family doctor should make an appointment with a specialist. I have asked to see a neurologist but they have not made an appointment for me. They still want to see wether my symptoms go away on their own. I am really scared of ALS. Specially since the last episode of not being able to get up. I knew a guy that had ALS. He told me it started with him being on line to get concert tickets and he couldn't stand on his legs anymore. Apparently the probably of people getting it is really low. But I there are 2 people I know of that have ALS. And in the known people of the world we have Lou Gehrig, Stephen Hawking, and Jörg Immendorff. And this is only the people I know. I'm sure there are more celebrities there.

I also have precieved weakness in my legs and hands. I keep checking the weakness but it seems like I only feel it. I have twitching in both my legs and left glute. I also feel tired. Specially my legs. I have been taking ativan to cope with the anxiety. I sometimes get weird sensation on my formarms as well. I can't describe that feeling. More like pins from inside.

All and all, this is not a good experience. I can't get MRI, CT, or even an EMG here in Canada without the consent of the family doctor. If I push him, he would probably put me on the non-urgent waiting list that would take another 2 months to see a specialist. And then who knows how long that'll take for the specialist to get me to an MRI.

I need help.
Thanks,

Sia
