Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my child is suffering from nephrotic syndrome from last one & half year but he is responding good to defcot treatment .so can he get rid out of this disease permanantly very soon in coming 1 to 2 years according to his immunity development ? & whethere such immunity devlopment occurs in chidren of 6 years age?
About your child. Nephrotic syndrome is a common disorder in children in the age group of 2 to 8 years. Its unfortunate that your child is having this issue for past one and half years.
Recommended treatment for nephrotic syndrome is steroids. Response to steroid treatment is very good. But if the disease is not under control or child is having frequent relapses of nephrotic syndrome, then the child may require steroid-sparing agents.
I don't think immunity development has a major role in controlling the relapses of nephrotic syndrome. I would suggest you visit a pediatric nephrologist so that he /she can help you to treat the child.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
