Suggest Treatment For Nerve Pain In The Legs That Is Getting Progressively Worse
My husband had 4th back surgery in Dec. 2014, his 3rd fusion. He was still having nerve pain in May of 2015. Surgeon did Xray & MRI and said the surgery for the fusion was sucessful and if he s still having nerve pain there is nothing else he can do surgically for him. His pain is getting steadily worse and he loses feeling in his legs sometimes and almost falls down. I just checked the results of one of his tests and it says Small residual left parcentral L1-L2 disc protrusion. Does not clearly compress traversing left L2 root but there could be secondary root irritation. His pain level is 8-10 every day all day long. Nothing helps. He will not take narcotics again. What can he do to get some relief? He is getting to his breaking point and he is not one to complain unnessisarily. Is there any help?
He is having disc prolapse, it has to correct by traction or Lumbar belt. For pain supportive can try Cap. Pregabalin 75 mg hs and tab. Ibubrufen 400 mg sos.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
