Suggest Treatment For Non-displaced Tibial Plateau Fracture
After falling in an airport concourse, I sustained Non-Displaced Tibial Plateau Fracture. My Orthopedist believes the fracture will heal and advised me to be cautious and not reinjure the knee. I see him again two weeks after the original diagnosis and X-rays. Does this sound like the best course of action?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Dr. Ali's Response
Non displaced fractures heals themselves if something unfortunate doesn't happen. As you haven't mentioned your age anf many other info required I think your surgeon is right as the treatment is immobilization, multivitamins/calcium supplements (I would advise Osteocare 1×BD × 30 days) and pain killers (tablet dicloran 1 × BD × 30 days + topical voltral emulgel apply BD).
