Hi,thank you for posting your query on Health care magic.
As you are suffering from nose bleeding, when you suffer from any new episode of
nasal bleeding, you should pinch your nostril for about 5-6 minutes with
mouth breathing. This will help to stop the nasal bleeding in most cases.Don't allow the nasal blood to flow and stop on its own.
Aspirin has anti-platelet action which interrupts in clotting of blood. You may stop this medicine for a few days after consulting your physician doctor.
Simvastatin is a drug which helps to reduce
Cholesterol. It has no action against clotting of blood.Sudafed contains nasal decongestant. It actually helps in a case of nasal bleeding as it reduces the congestion in the nose. So,you can continue taking Simvastatin and Sudafed.
Don't try to blow your nose or cough forcefully as due to increase in pressure, tiny blood vessel in nose might tear leading to nasal bleeding.Don't try to self clean your nose or remove blood clots as it may lead to a fresh bleeding.
You can also use nasal decongestant drops(like containing
Oxymetazoline) and Saline
nasal Spray.
It would be advisable to consult an Otolaryngologist doctor to find out the cause of your nasal bleeding and treat accordingly.He/she might do nasal endoscopy, rule out
high blood pressure and advise few blood test to rule out coagulation disorder in blood.
Hope this answers your question.Get well soon.
