Suggest Treatment For Obstructive Sleep Apnea

I have just been diagnosed with obstructed sleep apena. I am waiting for the medical supply company to contact me for a CPAP machine. My husband is concerned because he can t get me to stay awake in the early evenings and feels I need to go back to the doctor. I usually go to bed about 9 pm and get up at 4 am for work.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The treatment of choice for obstructive sleep apnea is continuous positive airway pressure device (CPAP). CPAP is a mask that fits over the nose and/or mouth, and gently blows air into the airway to help keep it open during sleep.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
