My cooworker had a bout with ovarian cancer. She went through chemo and radiation. They told her it was gone. This month maked it a year since she was diagnosed in stage three. After thanksgiving holiday she came back to work sick as could be. She said that she was unable to hold any food down. Two weeks ago when she left work to g home I watched her leave and she was extremly pail, which made me worry for her. That weekend she was hospitalized for dehydration, she was put on an ivy, then placed on a feeding tube since she could not hold her food down, she was told that if by Sunday she could keep her meal down they would release her because they could not find a reason for her being sick. She then took a turn for the worse and was transported to anothe hospital and has been there for a week. We were notified today that she has started to retain fluid and was told that the next two days were critical for her and if she couldn't turn her condition around the prognosis looked bad. My question is that does this sound like the cancer has returned or is her imune system too week for her that if she had the flue it was just too much for her to recooperate?
