Suggest Treatment For Pain And Swelling Between Inner Knee And Ankle

I have had severe onset of pain and swelling between my inner knee and ankle.. hurts when I walk or touch the area. started 1-1/2 weeks ago started below knee on inner calf and now has run lower towards ankle. painful to walk or touch. I m 48 yrs. old. scary to have pain out of the blue.

Hello Thanks for writing in.
After reading your question, I would suggest you visit a doctor at the earliest for a physical examination. The cause of the pain could arise from anything from musculo-skeletal(bone, muscle, tendon,soft tissue) to vascular to neurogenic.
It is difficult to interpret without examining the leg and if required do an xray/ultrasound for the swelling to begin with.
